Founded in 2014, Accendo Books is a small press located in Hammond, Louisiana. Taken from the Latin, Accendo means to inspire, ignite or kindle. Both fiction and non-fiction will be published in print, electronic, and audio formats. Dayne Sherman, author, librarian, and professor, is the founding publisher and editor of Accendo Books, L.L.C. He started the press to be a true Indie, but he’s hardly solo. He has the help of dozens of friends and loved ones, and he’s thinking of getting a Basset Hound to help guard the office.
